WE PUT THIS PIC HERE BECAUSE WE THOUGHT PEOPLE MADE IT TO SHOW HOW MUCH THEY LOVEE THE MOUNTAINS 

Length2,400 km (1,500 mi)  Peak :Mount Everest (Nepal and China)  Highest peak: Mount Everest at 29,029 ft (8,848 m) is not only the highest peak in the Himalayas, but the highest peak on the entire planet.  Rivers: The Himalayas are the source for the Indus, the Yangtze and the GangaBrahmaputra. All three are major river systems for the continent of Asia 

 Great Himalayas, also called Higher Himalayas or Great Himalaya Range, highest and northernmost section of the Himalayan mountain ranges. It extends southeastward across northern Pakistan, northern India, and Nepal before trending eastward across Sikkim state (India) and Bhutan and finally turning northeastward across northern Arunachal Pradesh state (India); throughout nearly all of its length it adjoins to the north the southern Tibet Autonomous Region of China. The range’s total length is some 1,400 miles (2,300 km), and it has an average elevation of more than 20,000 feet (6,100 metres). The Great Himalayas contain many of the world’s tallest peaks, including (from west to east) Nanga Parbat, Annapurna, Mount Everest, and Kanchenjunga.

Mount Everest is the Earth's highest mountain, located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. Its peak is 8,848 metres above sea level and the 5th furthest point from the centre of the Earth.  HEIGHT : 8,848 m  First ascent : May 29, 1953  First ascenders: Tenzing Norgay, Edmund Hillary 

 THERE ARE OVER 5000 lakes in the himalayan mountain range . Most lakes are found at altitudes of less than 5,000 m
