Head and neck cancer is curable if it is detected at very early stage, generally with some form of surgery. Head and neck cancer refers to cancers like lips, oral cavity, nasal cavity, pharynx and larynx cancers.

Head And Neck Cancer Head and neck cancer is one of the most devastating diseases that can be life threatening. It refers to cancers like lips, oral cavity, nasal cavity, pharynx and larynx cancers. Often the first sign of the head and neck cancer diseases at the time of diagnosis is spreading tumor to the lymph nodes of the neck. Once it is detected, it can be treated by surgery. Radiation cancer treatment can be used for head and neck cancer while chemotherapy is not found that much effective. There are certain environmental and lifestyle risk factors that causes cancer of head and neck. Some of the risk factors are consumption of tobacco, smoking, alcohol, Ultra Violet Rays, chemicals used in many workplaces, viruses and so on.

Head and neck cancer are often insistent in their biologic behavior. Patients who suffers from types of cancer has higher risk of developing another cancer in any part of the head and neck.
