Join Maree as she debunks the myth that growth means staffing headaches. Determine what your growth orientation is, learn how to map growth and resource plan. STAFFING FOR GROWTH

Has anyone here experienced staff headaches?
Alternatively, when you think of growing your business do you play a tug o war of possible upside but also the very real, possible downside.
Who here would love the benefits of growth, increased revenue and profit but without having to concern themselves with the HR piece?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if, after this session, you could alleviate some (I can't guarantee all) of the staffing headaches and have assurance that you are growing with the right people, in the right place, at the right time in your company?

Now, you may have grown your business with the wrong people and think I'm better off doing it myself. Alternatively you may have staffed up when there has been business issues (external or internal) that have stopped you in your tracks and now you approach employment with a health dose of skepticism.

Well today you will understand that with the right people in place - growth is the only outcome conceivable and it will set you up for a profitable growth trajectory that will continue to feed on itself.

As we go through this session I encourage you to keep an open mind and thinks of ways of using this learning logically back into the workplace. It is not my purpose that you go back to your business and put 10 staff on immediately. We have to be logical on one hand while being confident almost contrarian on the other, going against the tide and putting a few people into the business for future or anticipated growth so that if growth were to land on your doorstep you can take full advantage of the opportunity.
In Forbes Magazine, Ken Krogue, a contributing author encourages us to Think of a deciduous tree … and how it adapts to its seasons:

It sprouts new buds in spring (in business we research, develop, and release new products)
There is strong expansion and growth in summer (grow like crazy when conditions are right)
We witness a change of color before the leaves fall (when trends change, you change, and quickly)
When the leaves fall prepare for winter (scale back prudently, cut and prune for a new growth season)

In business there are companies who do not grow when the conditions are right. When things turn they fail to respond. During lean periods businesses often neglect to scale back or do so but fail to keep one eye on the horizon for a season change. This leaves them ill prepared to grow again - potentially missing opportunities - yielding them to the competition. Where do you want to be?

Today I'm going to cover
1. How to identify your growth orientation. Are you poised for growth? Is it in your DNA?
2. If Growth is Your Objective. How do you map this?
3. Resource Planning - what is it and how can you use resource planning to grow your business well?
