GTMetrix.com is a free tool that analyzes
your pages’ speed performance.
Using Page Speed and YSlow,
GTMetrix generates scores for
your pages and offers actionable
recommendations on how to fix them.

Let’s get started!
Locate your favorite browser.
In our example, it’s Google Chrome
In address bar, type: www. gtmetrix.com
Here’s the home page of GTMetrix.com
For better experience of using the site,
let’s sign up for an account.
Click Sign Up
A window will appear, just fill it out
for needed information: First name,
Last name, Email, Password,
Confirm your Password and click
Create Account button.
If creating an account is successful,
user will be redirected to dashboard:
Put address of desired site that you
want to analyze then click Go button.
The outcome is like this:
Summary showed that the website
address which has been
analyzed resulted in Grade B.
There are more options to choose from.
Upon getting scores, start to optimize
your site. Let’s check on the Breakdown.
There’s a lot of recommendations in the
list that will definitely help you
determine what factors cause your
site to be fast or slow in loading.
Grade, Type and Priority are also
included in this part.

The third tab is about Timeline.
This shows the Waterfall of your site.
The Waterfall Graph displays the loading
behaviour of your site. It can be
used to discover simple issues
or more complex issues.
