Climate change and the water cycle By Lauren and Paige

What happens? The water cycle has different stages. The first stage is evaporation. The sun heats the water and it rises. The next stage is Transportation. The same as evaporation it absorbs the water from the trees and plants and it rises. The next stage is condensation this cools the hot air and turns it into clouds. Precipitation is next and it takes the water from the clouds and rains. Precipitation can be rain hail ice or snow. The water then melts and runs off back into the ground or into the ocean. The effect of global warming increases the heat therefore more water is absorbed and the ground cannot hold more water. This can cause extreme floods and in some places dry the land dramatically. http://epa.gov/climatechange/kids/animations.html
