Getting started with
What is Twitter? Twitter is a service for colleagues to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
Why use Twitter? Because even basic updates are meaningful – especially when they’re timely. In a conference setting Twitter can be used as both a real time source of information, and an historical archive recorded in the moment.
How does it work? Sign up at twitter.com . Post what you're doing in 140 characters or less! Just type in the “What are you doing?” box and then click on “update.” Send your thoughts, observations, and goings-on in your day.
Send Updates via Cell Phone Go to http://twitter.com/devices . Follow the instructions to activate your cell phone, and post updates to Twitter by sending a text message to 40404. (Twitter is free, but standard text messaging rates apply.)
