1. It is time to test our hypothesis! Let’s do the experiment!

2. 4) Experiment • In order to know if our hypothesis(guess) is right or wrong, we make an experiment.

3. 2) Gather information: Sand does not dissolve in water but salt dissolves in water. 1) Observe and ask: Which one is sand and which one is salt? 3) Make a hypothesis: I think the white powder will dissolve in water. 4) Do an experiment: Put the yellow and white powder in water and see which one dissolves.

4. 5) Conclusion! • Now we know if our hypothesis is correct or not.
