Animals/ Pets/ introduced animals.   The most common animals chosen as pets are dogs and cats.  Sometimes a family will opt for a rabbit, fish, turtle, or even a ferret.  Be aware of how much space the animal will need when choosing your pet.  Cats are most likely to be comfortable in a normal size home, but they can often get frisky and may cause damage to furniture and/or carpet.  Dogs that grow to large sizes will need lots of space!  Keep in mind that even if they start out small, puppies will not remain puppies forever!  They all must grow up... in both age and size!

History.   War had profound effects on twentieth-century London.  For the first time since the 17th century, the city was directly attacked. Then, the weapon was cannon fire. In the 20th century explosive bombs were carried by airships and aeroplanes into the heart of the city. A terrifying new dimension had been introduced into warfare.
