Treatment Basics Activities: 1. Accessing of relevant information from the client 2. Introduction of new information to the client 3. Facilitation of processing of information 4. Inhibition of accessing information (Lipke) These activities take place within the context of a psychotherapeutic relationship, which establishes contact and reduces anxiety recognises the positive intention of the client frames the learning goal and allows learning helps with the integration of learning experiences into the future

Reversals Psychological Reversal: Some clients consciously recognize their problem and verbally , indicate a desire to change behavior -- but muscle testing confirms the opposite

Brain Balancing Instead of the full 9 gamut: Have clients hold up two fingers, one at each edge of their peripheral vision, and do about 20 seconds of back and forth eye movement as rapidly as they comfortably can (Robert Yourell)

TaB: Touch and Breathe We can get results without tapping: In John Diepold´s TaB protocol, you simply touch and hold the point while taking one full breath in and out You then move to the next point and continue doing this until you are done TaB-ing, Touching and Breathing Some appear to get the results with touch alone, but the breath appears to aid the flow of energy Some clients say it is more peaceful as a technique

We can get results without tapping:

In John Diepold´s TaB protocol, you simply touch and hold the point while taking one full breath in and out

You then move to the next point and continue doing this until you are done TaB-ing, Touching and Breathing

Some appear to get the results with touch alone, but the breath appears to aid the flow of energy

Alternate Bilateral Tapping Alternate bilateral tapping on the energy meridians might synergistically combine the effects of EMDR & TFT Tapping alternately on the points on each side of the body's midline Alternating the tapping may facilitate an increase in the processing and transfer of information from one brain hemisphere to the other that we may not get with simultaneous bilateral tapping or unilateral tapping As with EMDR, it may be wise to refrain from alternate bilateral tapping with anyone who has a history of seizure activity Testing for the mode that works best for each individual may be the most prudent approach (Patrick F. Reducing Tension 2 After the client appears to relax, ask them to guess what their SUD level would be if they would vividly imagine it This guess is a guide to the true intensity This helps minimize pain If they guess a high number, tap on: not ready to work on this problem... this fear of intensity... these emotional stirrings... Ask them to guess again about their intensity if they were to vividly imagine it Tap again on indirect issues until their guessed SUD number becomes manageable Then proceed to the actual issue

Switching

Basic unswitching procedure:

Press on the navel with first three fingers of the left hand while briskly tapping or rubbing both K-27 points

While pressing on the navel, tap points under and above lips

Place one hand on the navel while rubbing the coccyx for 10 seconds

Nasal Tap:

Have the client tap on both sides of the bridge of the nose, then re-test
