07. CORRALEJO Corralejo is a typical charming fishing village in the municipality of La Oliva, north of Fuerteventura, which is one of the seven Canary Islands. It has a population of about 14,000. It is an important tourist resort frequented by British tourists, because of its long sandy beaches, and the attractions of the nearby Carralejo Natural Park. It has an important port with daily ferries between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote and is also the starting point for boat trips to the Isla de Lobos (Wolf Island). At the port, visitors can rent boats for recreational activities like offshore fishing or diving. In addition, these vessels are also designed for those who prefer a quiet holiday, as many of them have transparent floors, allowing its passengers to see the seabed. THE ISLAND OF FUERTEVENTURA Corralejo has a wide range of leisure activities and services. In the center of town, and within walking distance of the Sultan complex, you can find malls, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, and a post office.
