Ecogeographic Land Characterization Maps For in situ conservation this methodology has been used only as a criterion in studies to:  Identify populations with high priority to be conserved  Identify protected areas which contain target environments / are covering priority populations  Determine optimal places for genetic reserves  Establish CWR national strategies  Prioritize sites to focus on on-farm conservation efforts
