DrayTek  Training  –  Configuration  Reference  Guide     1. WAN  Configuration   Connect  a  Laptop  to  LAN  port,  by  default  it  will  have  DHCP  enabled  and  give  an  IP  in  the   192.168.1.x  range.    Then  Browse  to  192.168.1.1  login  with  admin  /  admin   Go  to    WAN  –  Internet  Access  and  set  Access  Mode  to  “Static  or  Dynamic  IP”         Tick  “Enable”  and  enter  the  given  IP.  Save  and  reboot.     After  reboot  verify  that  the  WAN  is  on,  WAN1  is  green  and  LED  starts  blinking.    

  You  should  be  able  to  access  the  Internet  now       2. LAN   To  be  able  to  configure  multiple  LANs  we  first  need  to  enable  Vlans.   Go  to  LAN  –  VLAN  –  and  tick  on  Enable.  Associate  all  Ports  to  LAN1.  Router  reboots         After  reboot  go  to  LAN  –  General  Setup  and  enable  LAN2  and  interVlan  routing  for  Lan1/Lan2.   Click  OK  and  reboot  again.      

  Go  to  LAN  –  General  Setup  and  click  on  “Details  Page”.  Configure  the  LAN  IP  and  DHCP  server   settings  according  to  the  instructions.  Click  OK  and  reboot       Your  Laptop  gets  a  new  IP  in  the  LAN  range  configured   Access  the  new  LAN  IP  just  configured.  And  configure  LAN  2  IP  as  instructed.     Connect  the  IP  phone  to  port  5  and  reboot  the  phone.  Verify  it  gets  an  Ip  in  same  range.   To  check  Go  to  Diagnostics  –  DHCP  Table  and  open  the  Ip  Phone  GUI.    We  will  configure  Vlans  for  the  phone  in  next  step.      

  3. VLAN   Go  to  LAN  –  VLAN  and  configure  according  to  the  instructions.  Click  OK  and  reboot         Make  sure  the  phone  is  connected  to  port  5.  Set  the  Vlan  on  the  phone  using  phone’s  buttons:   Settings  -­‐>  navigate  to  the  right  -­‐>  VLAN  Settings  -­‐>  ID=10    -­‐>  Check  button  -­‐>  navigate  to  the   right  and  Reboot  the  phone   Connect  a  Laptop  to  LAN  port  on  the  phone.   Verify  that  the  phone  gets  an  IP  in  LAN2  and  laptop  an  IP  in  LAN1.  Ping  or  browse  the  new   Phone’s  IP.     You  should  now  have  two  VLANs  working.        

4. VPN   Go  to  VPN  and  Remote  Access  –  LAN  to  LAN  and  click  on  1.       Configure  according  to  instructions  and  as  shown  below.  Make  sure  you  configure  remote  IPs,   and  Shared  Key  for  both  dial  in  and  dial  out        

    Test  connection  by  going  to  “Connection  Management”  and  ping  a  remote  LAN  IP.     5. Load  Balancing  and  Route  Policy   TO  Set  Auto-­‐Weight  oad  balancing  under  WAN  –  General  Setup  

    Configure  Route-­‐Policy  so  all  traffic  to  a  specific  Ip  goes  on  WAN1  or  VPN             Run  a  tracert  from  your  Laptop  or  got  to  Diagnostics  –  Nat  Sessions  Table  to  verify  that  traffic  to   that  Ip  goes  thru  right  Wan  or  VPN         6. Firewall   To  activate  the  Web  Content  Filter  go  to  CSM  –  Web  Content  Filter  Profile     You  need  to  have  an  account  on  myvigor.draytek.com  portal    

Before  configuring  rules  verify  that  you  can  access  myspace.com,  yahoo.com  and  facebook.   Create  keyword  objects:             Configure  Web  Content  Filtering  to  block  Social  Media  with  a  Whitelist  and  Apply         Apply  the  filters  created  to  a  Firewall  rule  so  they  can  take  effect:    

    Try  connecting  to  facebook,  then  try  connecting  to  myspace.com  (whitelisted)     Configure  URL  Filter     Follow  the  instructions     Configure  User  Management   Follow  the  instructions
