Pre-Assumptions We were asked to make a „work shop“ The prior knowledge of the participants concerning our topic is very diverse We do not only want to talk about pedagogical approaches, because we have the feeling that this would not be enough. Group work / collaborative learning

Reasons for our Didactical Concept A variation of the problem based learning approach PBL needs authentic problem and reflection No „authentic“ problem, but a story (because it can serve as good „guideline“ for the work shop, it is easier to find a common ground, it can serve as an cognitive „anchor“) The reflection will be done by „oberservers“ (monitoring the group work and the work shop itself) and by personal storytelling afterwards (in the weblog) Challenge „group work“ to initiate cooperative learning is tricky – we deal with that with three different group work regulations which are known from cooperative learning (intervention)

A variation of the problem based learning approach
