Creating Wellness Assessment System Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

CWAS Installation Key Points  No wireless or satellite internet connection  Required: High speed internet connection, (512 kbs band width Upload/Download) minimum.  VPN port (1723 TCP) on router/modem must be open both inbound and outbound  Do not place the CWAS system directly under glaring light. Ambient light interferes with the infra-red futrex wand.  Do not have both the CWAS and the INSIGHT systems connected on the same computer at the same time.  Do not delete or add programs (except microsoft office) unless you check with the CW tech team. Futrex Body Comp Analyzer • Uses light absorption to measure body fat – Direct correlation with the body’s overall fat level • Sensor is placed at the center of the biceps of the dominant arm – Sends Near-Infrared light beam at specific wavelengths that fat absorbs and lean mass reflects Be Fit. Body Comp. Summary Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Cardiovascular & Respiratory Performance • Blood Pressure • Heart rate • Vital Lung Capacity Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Blood Pressure & Heart Rate Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Vital Lung Capacity • The maximum amount of air that can be exhaled after a maximum inhalation – Used to determine the condition of lung tissue – Also known as “Vital Capacity” • Typical normal range is 3000-5000 Liters – Normal value is gender, age, and height dependant Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Stress Profiling • Dealing productively with stress is an important aspect of wellness • CWAS provides an objective assessment of stress reactivity – Understanding our stress responses is a vital first step to taking control and creating wellness Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Measuring Stress • CWAS measures the physiologic responses that are most reactive to stress – Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) – Heartrate – Peripheral Blood Flow – Skin Temperature • Scientific validity of all measurements is well-established – Extensive literature in polygraphy and psychophysiology Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

How Stress Profiling Works • Easily performed – All measurements are conveniently (and non- threateningly) made from one hand – Synchronized protocol will direct client while software acquires physiologic data • Three-minute protocol – Resting Baseline – Response to Stressor and Recovery Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.

Stress Profiling Results • Analysis is based primarily on recovery from stress – A “hot” reactor has elevated responses that do not return to baseline levels quickly – Identify sources of stress and develop coping strategies Be Fit. Eat Right. Think Well.
