The government not only wants pupils to be creative and confident users of information technology – but also to understand the fundamental principles of Computer Science. COMPUTING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UK Equipping pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. – DfE 1 The UK is the world’s Computer Science forms the core of the computing curriculum.
