Children and senior citizens’ introduction to computer use: Students and seniors will work collaboratively to acquire basic computer skills including the following: Printing Emailing Publishing

Students will communicate with other students using email. Students will communicate on a global level through the use of online pen pals. Using the “People to People” website as a host, students will gain the ability to communicate via email to other countries.

Career planning through computer software. Students will utilize an online computer software program that will match them with possible future careers. Through a series of questions the software will match each student with career choices that may be of interest to them .

Peer mentoring through social mentoring sites. Students will be able to have “buddies” in other grade levels through the use of blogs. Students will utilize their blogs to communicate weekly with their peers to discuss ways to interact positively with the school community.
