Attracting Readership Fundamentals Link out – liberally!! Fight the “but they will leave my site” urge. Think outside the real estate box. Don’t just link to “A-list” blogs. They are typically very nice guys, but simply can’t link back to everyone. SEO 101 For the love of Pete, write for your readers, NOT the search engines! “ If you write it, they will come” Google is smart. Don’t overstuff “key words” – You don’t need to say “Phoenix real estate” 15 times in one post. Post titles are important. But vary them for readability. Limit “H1” tags on a page – this is typically your post titles. Some say only 1, I use 5 posts on home page. I’ve seen 30 – this is bad. All in One SEO Pack plugin – allows you to add descriptions to each post. Not index archives. Limit tags and categories. Watch “tag bloat”.
