BodYscovery Dance, Movement and Expression Workshop 29 April - 4 May 2014 PantaRei (www.pantarei-cea.it) “There is a constant dance in you, in our connections in our everyday life” Introduction: The workshop will increase your self-awareness and your ability to express yourself through non-verbal means, beyond judgments, words or logics. It supports you to move from the rational, brain level to a more physical, sensory based experience bringing an expanded understanding, discovering an altered active and creative you. Body movement and other creative expression forms will be offered during the workshop, using the spoken langue as a descriptive tool to share personal experiences on a self directed level. The aim of the workshop is to provide a creative surrounding in a group setting to play, feel and reflect on the gained experiences. We invite you to play, to create with what is there in your body, in your movements. The workshop is a playing field where one can go out on a quest, to research topics in a guided atmosphere. In this approach expression does not mean artistic or aesthetic, but rather creating and looking at the results as the mirrors of ourselves. In these mirrors you can observe the reflections of the inner quest and celebrate strengths or discover new fields. Talking about body and movement we do not mean choreographed dance, traditional concepts of “beautiful” and “performance. There is a constant dance in you, in our connections in our everyday life. Think about your breathing, the way you walk on the street or how you tend to turn to strangers. During this unique journey we will use yoga, different ways of expression (painting, sculpturing, sounds) and also combinations of them. The process- oriented approach supports creativity, spontaneity of life. The complex interactions of the human and the surrounding can be tackled and observed in a more concrete situation. The authentic movements, imaginations, symbols, personal myths are welcome here and playing through them leads to build a whole-some human.
