We all are humans then what makes some of us so difficult that every other person finds difficult to work with them – BAD APPLES.
Is that difficult people are BAD or something else...
We need to understand this to deal with them more precisely
It is the basic types of behaviour that makes a person so difficult to deal with.
This brings us to the fact that difficult people have behavioral problem and we can only deal with them if we understand why they behave in such objectionable manner most of the time.

The crux of the problem is not to appraise personal productivity of BAD APLLES, but to check how they influences productivity of others

BAD APPLE behaviour do not contribute positively to the growth of the organization, and has adverse implications on Overall performance

All the employees MUST positively contribute to the organization Even one person not contributing positively can have serious impact.

Any employee who does his/her job BADLY is obviously a problem, but the one who DRAGS DOWN the work of others is very DANGEROUS and to identify such person in the organization or team is tough job.

Bad Apples are blessed with BAD ATTITUDE that wears downs the overall productivity

Nobody is perfect and as a matter of fact perfection is not expected at all times from everybody BUT what is expected at all times from everybody is SOLID DEPENDABLE WORK

BAD Apple isn’t someone who makes the OCCASIONAL MISTAKE, but has a DISTINCT ONGOING PATTERN of certain type of behaviour or failure.

Identify BAD APPLE and their behavioural attributes

Provide JOB DESCRIPTION Make them UNDERSTAND Assign RESPONSIBILITY Make them ACCOUNTABLE

Extend help when NEEDED

Give CONSISTENT Directions

Respect and Reward QUALITY WORK

And if NOTHING works.... then works....

Withdraw all IMPORTANT ASSIGNMENT

Move them to Another DEPARTMENT or TEAM

Discuss IMPLICATIONS for their BEHAVIOUR

Issue them WARNING

BAD

GOOD

From BAD to GOOD is a TRANSITION

If they can be encouraged to change their Attitude

If they can be Persuaded

If they can change the Work Habits

Only then we can extend HELP!

Behavioural Issues are difficult to trace

Every behaviour that a person exhibits Is MOTIVATED by Something……

People either act out their EMOTIONS By taking ACTIONS to achieve a certain OUTCOME Or They have deeply ingrained HABBIT, FRUSTRATION Beyond their CONTROL
