Autumn Porridge

Think you don’t like porridge? Try this one and think again. You might even get the kids to eat it! It doesn’t need to be Autumn to enjoy this, although it reminds me of that time of year with the seasonal ingredients.

Ingredients  Oats (40 grams)  Milk (120ml)  Apple chopped (1/2)  Crushed walnuts (20 grams)  Pure maple syrup 1 tbsp  Vanilla Whey Powder (1 scoop)  Cinnamon (a dash)

Put the water and milk into a pan and bring to the boil on a medium heat.

When boiling turn down to simmer and add the oats and cinnamon.

When the liquid is absorbed remove from heat and add the apple, walnuts and maple syrup.

Mix the protein separately with 60ml of water. Pour in the vanilla protein, mix and serve.

Notes To get the vanilla protein smooth use a small air-tight tub to shake the mix. Make sure it’s really air-tight before you start to shake it!
