13th Asia Pacific Software Engineering Conference – Program Information:  13th Asia Pacific Software Engineering Conference – Program Information Pankaj Jalote PC Chair, APSEC06 Background:  Background This is the first APSEC in India Previous ones: Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Generally held in first half of Dec Usually has about 50+ papers Proceedings published by IEEE Paper Submissions:  Paper Submissions Had 275+ abstracts and 230 final paper submissions from 29 countries A record of sorts From: India:100+ Japan: 18 Australia: 16 Pakistan: 11 China: 9 Thailand: 6 USA: 10 Algeria, Brazil, Canada, Oman, Peru, Many European countries, Many Asian Countries Review Process:  Review Process Each paper reviewed by at least 3 reviewers (except a few) The PC consisted of about 70 members from across the world Each PC member reviewed 8-10 papers Over 670 reviews Review period: About 6 weeks Accepted Papers:  Accepted Papers Accepted 59 papers from 18 countries (1 was withdrawn) 13 from industry From: India: 16 Japan: 10 Australia: 7 Korea: 3 Singapore: 3 USA: 3 ….
