Slide1:  Lots to do and see Pr. 4/5 Glamis School Fishing, golfing, watersports:  Fishing, golfing, watersports Rivers South Esk and North Esk fish for salmon . Arbroath, Carnoustie, Monifieth and Montrose all do sea fishing. Forfar, Lintrathen and Rescobie all do loch fishing. FISHING: FEEL FRESHNESS OF ANGUS GOLF: GREAT GOLF IN ANGUS Carnoustie has a famous golf championship course. The main towns in Angus each have a golf course . There are also other attractive courses spread around Angus WATER SPORTS: WATERY WONDERS OF ANGUS There are lots of places you can do WATERSPORTS like Monikie Country Park and Forfar Loch. There are Lochs, Rivers, and the sea. But I must warn you the water is COLD! Angus coast line:  Angus coast line If you want a great day out come to Angus coastline At Montrose beach you can build sandcastles. You can go to the Splash Park and have a cuppa at the café. Arbroath has everything you need for a fun day out .There is a harbour, a beach and a model train. You can walk on the cliff top but be careful! Lunan Bay beach has a lot of sand dunes and rock pools and a lot of sand. Auchmithie has a pebble beach, cliffs and an old harbour. Wildlife country parks:  Wildlife country parks There are three country parks in Angus. In Monikie country park there are watersports. Forfar loch has a walk around it . In crombie there is woodland. in the woodland there are roe deer and woodpeckers. If you enjoy the outdoors come to Angus Slide5:  Museums Glamis Museum - is a row of old cottages and a farmyard. In one of the cottages is a school room with boards you can write on. It is very exciting. In Brechin is the Caledonian Railway where old steam trains go between Brechin and Bridge of Dun. Kirriemuir has a RAF Museum and so does Montrose. In the Towns there are museums that show life in olden days. Signal Tower Museum, Arbroath Slide6:  Have an exiting day out with the family and learn about the Picts and how they lived at Pictavia near Brechin Go to Aberlemno stones. These beautiful stones are worth going to see in the summer. Try guessing what the symbols mean. Go and visit Cossans, Glamis. Known as St Orlands stone, this beautiful Pictish cross stone probably marks a site of an ancient chapel. Glamis Stone - This stone is in the garden of Glamis Manse. One side is newer than the other and has a highly decorated cross. Angus is a good place to learn about the Picts and what they did Slide7:  You can visit Glamis Castle which goes back to the 14th century. In Forfar see the tower in place of the Castle in Castle Street. Arbroath Abbey is now a ruin. It was built in 1178. The Declaration of Independence was signed here. It still looks good. And the best part is any one can visit it. Edzell Castle is a 16th century building which is now in ruins. It has a neat garden as well. It is owned by Historic Scotland Leisure Centres in Angus:  Leisure Centres in Angus Kirriemuir- leisure centre has a pool and a games hall. Forfar- leisure centre has a games hall and a playground. The swimming pool is in a separate building. Arbroath- leisure centre has a games hall and a pool Brechin - leisure centre has a games hall and a playground. There is a pool in the High School. Carnoustie- leisure centre has a games hall and the pool is in the High School. Montrose- leisure centre has a games hall and the pool is in a separate building. If you enjoy sport come to Angus Leisure Centres Walking,Riding,Cycling:  Walking,Riding,Cycling If you enjoy walking,cycling and riding come to Angus for the beautiful views. Riding: If you like riding there are many riding schools in Angus. In the Angus Glens you can go pony trekking. Walking: If your dream holiday is rambling along quiet tracks, or over hills and mountains, or over sandy beaches come to Angus.
