“ The goal of the Outreach Team of the EcoCity Action Group is to engage different sectors of the community to create an evolving EcoCity vision . Successful green cities got people excited about the quality of life they can create together through a variety of participatory processes. The Outreach Team will research the feasibility of various options, develop the content of a mixed media, interactive educational outreach tool located in different city centers, identify stakeholders , conduct interviews on people’s responses to the presentation, and use that feedback to refine the vision and outreach methods.” Initial Purpose

First Focus: Automated Rapid Transit Automated podcars that can move at 30-40 mph and carry passengers to destinations of density. System can be built without displacing current automobile capacity or obstructing views. Preserves limited street space for other mobility modes and opens up previous parking space to recreation, housing, or business. Guides development in a more transit-oriented way, increasing the efficiency of the local productivity. Can cost less than all other alternatives and runs on electricity (from any source).
