What are cutting concrete services? Methods used by concrete cutting specialists to perform construction-like tasks such as demolition, highway rehabilitation and wire sawing.  The following slides are examples of some of these methods. 

#1 Curb Cutting  Concrete cutters use a special machine to cut a sidewalk curb in order to make space for a ramp-like structure that will connect the sidewalk to the street.  This allows for the creation of driveway approaches and pedestrian crosswalks.

#2 Wall Sawing  Wall sawing is necessary for the creation of windows, doors, staircases and elevators in buildings.  Without wall saws it wouldn’t be possible for concrete cutters to cut spaces into vertical materials.

#3 Flat Sawing Flat sawing is a way of penetrating concrete in the way of pipes and cables underground that need to be accessed.  Large flat saws can operated by a driver and smaller flat saws can be hand held. 

#4 Core Drilling Concrete cutters use this method to drill either large or small holes into concrete walls that usually need electrical wiring.  Whatever the purpose may be, core drilling is an essential part of constructing any building. 

#5 Wire Sawing These particular saws use wires to cut through impenetrable material.  Wire sawing is useful when concrete cutters are working in confined spaces or underwater. 

Wire sawing is also beneficial because it leaves a minimal impact on the environment (meaning it doesn’t produce as much exhaust as some of the other machines).

Examples of Concrete Cutting Projects Airport runways  Increasing lanes in highways  Industrial buildings 
