Slide 1: John 2:13-22 Slide 3: Why was Jesus so enraged? Slide 4: Jesus got angry because the temple system had become corrupt. Slide 5: Temples are places of worship. By turning the temple into a shopping area, sellers and money-changers insulted God and abused the worshipers. Slide 6: Jesus poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables to destroy the barriers that separate them from God. Slide 7: Jesus drove everyone out of the temple to draw them back to God and to His intent for their lives. Slide 9: The temple-cleansing story challenges us to do a spiritual housecleaning to draw ourselves back to God's intent for our lives. Slide 10: Made by Fr.
