The Committee led by Attorney Derrick Sylvester has ruled that Chantimelle SC is to be awarded three points and the match will not be replayed. The Committee also recommended further sanctions for some players involved in unsporting behaviour during the match. These details will be revealed in a written ruling to be delivered to the GFA shortly. The decision is a complete overturn of the Disciplinary Committee’s ruling that recommended the match be replayed. The match which was first played on the 4th of September at Beausejour ended prematurely after a scuffle amongst players on both teams. Red cards were issued, and following this, Fontenoy United walked off the field in protest. However, while Fontenoy United failed to defend, a goal was scored by Chantimelle SC after the referee resumed play. This ruling now clears the way for all teams to go into the final round of matches in round two(2) of the GFA Premier League on 17 matches. All matches will be contested simultaneously on Sunday 23rd October at 4pm.The following is the line up for the weekend. Rich SC and Hurricanes SC will have to battle each other for the final spot in the Big 4 that will face off to become the 2016 GFA Premier League Champions. Also, Fontenoy United sits precariously just outside of the automatic relegation zone. A win for Fontenoy and a loss for Boca Juniors will see them avoid automatic demotion (9th and 10th place). Teams ending in 7th and 8th place in the Premier league will face teams placing 3rd and 4th overall in the Conference League for promotion/relegation. Playoff dates will be announced soon.
