Vanguard Class Submarines - Type SSBN:  Vanguard Victorious Vigilant Vengeance Vanguard Class Submarines - Type SSBN Major 15-year 4-boat Strategic Ballistic Nuclear Submarine Prime Contract/ Build Programme completed at Barrow in November 1999 Vanguard / Victorious / Vigilant / Vengeance Astute Class Submarines - Type SSN:  Astute Class Submarines - Type SSN Major 3-boat 7200 tonne Fleet Nuclear Submarine Build Contract for the Astute Class Programme Organization and the Royal Navy. Fabrication of first submarine in progress at Barrow. Projected in-service dates for the three boats are between 2005 and 2008 Amphibious Assault Ship - Type LPD :  Amphibious Assault Ship - Type LPD Two of these 18,400-ton vessels are currently in build at Barrow for the Royal Navy. Albion was launched on 9th March 2001. Bulwark’s launch is scheduled for November 2001 Albion / Bulwark Amphibious Helicopter Carrier - Type LPH :  HMS Ocean Amphibious Helicopter Carrier - Type LPH 20,000-tonne carrier commissioned into UK RN service September 1998. Has already been on active service in several theatres of operation worldwide. Slide17:  Wave Knight / Wave Ruler Two 12000-ton (27000-tons fully laden) fleet oilers currently in build at Barrow and Govan, for the Royal Fleet Auxiliary. Wave Knight launched 29th September 2000. Wave Ruler launched 9th February 2001. Type 23 Frigates:  Norfolk / Argyll / Lancaster / Iron Duke / Monmouth / Montrose / Somerset / Grafton / Sutherland / Kent / Portland / St Albans Type 23 Frigates HMS Kent was delivered in February 2000 and HMS Portland in 2001. The last Royal Navy Type 23 Class Frigate St Albans is now being outfitted at Scotstoun. Brunei Offshore Patrol Vessel:  Brunei Offshore Patrol Vessel A three-vessel prime contract including design, build and support. First vessel launched in January 2001 Malaysian Frigate:  KD Jebat / KD Lekiu Malaysian Frigate Both vessels commissioned. In-service support contract under negotiation. Anti Air Warfare Type 45 Destroyer (AAWD):  Anti Air Warfare Type 45 Destroyer (AAWD) Current IPT involvement and projected RN first of class build at Scotstoun. Potential for eleven further vessels BAE SYSTEMS holds the Prime Contract for the first three vessels. The Type 45s are planned to enter service between 2007 and 2014. BAE SYSTEMS Marine has submitted an unsolicited bid to build all 12 Type 45 destroyers. Commercial Shipbuilding and Repair:  Commercial Shipbuilding and Repair Thames Fisher / Humber Fisher / Mersey Fisher 3 Clean Products Tankers Build Programme completed at Barrow 1997/8 Work undertaken on two Super Seacat Ferries in Dry Dock Facilities at Scotstoun during 2000. Govan is building a 75m Anchor Handler Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel and bow fabrications for a second similar vessel during 2001.
